This qualification, as led by Volt Edge, provides competencies to supervise and conduct Gas Supply Industry activities including installation, diagnostics and maintenance of distribution and transmission gas pipelines, cylinders and associated equipment.
It is an Australia Qualification Framework (AQF) level 4 qualification and provides the required knowledge and skills to carry out specialised and/or skilled routine and non-routine work activities autonomously and takes limited responsibility for the work of others.
The theory of this course is delivered online followed by an on the job face-to-face practical.

Volt Edge requires, in addition to the core units, a combination of Elective competency standard units to achieve a total weighting of 990 points.
The elective units will be determined by Volt Edge upon application.
Upon completion you will be able to:
→ Compile a gas industry technical report.
→ Conduct isolations under the permit to work system.
→ Construct, lay and connect a gas distribution service to a plastic main.
→ Carry out surveillance on gas distribution assets.
→ Maintain multi-stage and multi-run gas flow and pressure measuring and regulating devices.
