Certificate IV in Hazardous Areas – Electrical

Course Description
Volt Edge Training is pleased to announce that  UEE42611 Certificate IV in Hazardous areas – Electrical training is now available to students nation wide. UEE42611 Certificate IV in Hazardous areas – Electrical is a Qualification where Electrical Equipment for Hazardous Areas (EEHA) is a skill set of competencies, with an extra four units of competency are added called Gap Training. Click here for further explanation as to those qualification details.

UEE42611 Certificate IV in Hazardous areas – Electrical training is the qualification that can be achieved by completing the following:
EEHA competencies.
Cert IV Gap Training.

To be eligible for JUST the Cert IV Gap Training, you need to have previously completed certain competencies (within the last 3 years).

Course Delivery
The Cert IV Gap Training is an assessment that is self paced and is studied through our online learning management system externally to our training facilities.
A Credit transfer or RPL of the equivalent Electrical / Instrumentation competencies is also available.

The Volume of Learning for this program will comprise of:
40 hours of pre-reading.
45 hours of supervised instruction including:

30 hours of supervised theory instruction and discussions.
15 hours of supervised assessment activities (written and practical).

Up to 10 hours of capstone assessment (online) including revision if required (post face to face training).
30 hours of online self-paced training and assessment (separately delivered to above) for 4 core units.

Total of approx. 125 Hrs (Students have up to 12 months to complete the full qualification)
Note: Self-paced hours are calculated based on an average student reading pace, time management capability and other commitments. These hours have been averaged from data we have collected over several years of running this program.

Training is completed face to face.

Cert IV Gap Training
The gap delivery is a gap assessment covering the supervision skills of:
Energy sector report writing.
Developing a personal competency plan.
Implementing and monitoring energy sector policies and procedures for environmental and sustainable work practices.

If you hold a current Electrical License you will be awarded a credit transfer for the units that you have completed as part of your trade certificate.

Pre-requisites
Students must hold a UEE30811 – Certificate III in Electrotechnology – Electrician and/or an unrestricted electrical license or electrical mechanic license.
Please note: to simply have an electrical fitter license is not sufficient.

Cost
UEE42611 Certificate IV in Hazardous areas – Electrical (EEHA & Cert IV Gap Training) – $ 2,899  (GST Free).

This qualification is done in two stages; once the EEHA Component is completed you complete the Cert IV in Gap Training, which will give you the UEE42611 Certificate IV in Hazardous Areas – Electrical qualification.

The Cert IV Gap Training costs are as followed:
Gap Training Only $ 695 (GST Free).                                                                                             
Gap Training Only (if completed EEHA course with Volt Edge) $ 599 (GST Free).
RPL/Credit Transfer Application $ 295 (GST Free).
