QTP – Queensland Technical Person
This Queensland Only course is part of the requirements for people who are applying for an electrical contractor’s licence from the Electrical Safety Office (ESO) to become a Qualified Technical Person (QTP).

In order to apply for a Queensland Electrical Safety Office (ESO) Electrical Contractors Licence, you will need to meet the Qualified Technical Person (QTP) requirement and have gained competency in the following units:

UEEEL0002 Apply currency of safe working practices and compliance verification of electrical installations
UEEEL0029 Conduct compliance inspection of LV electrical installations with demand exceeding 100A per phase
UEEEL0030 Conduct compliance inspection of single phase LV electrical installations

Course Delivery
Delivery takes up to 3 days in a holistic manner for theory & written assessments. Includes a combination of face-face (during Covid-19 this has been achieved by live web zoom), online training and practical assessment ‘on the job’ supervised by a Qualified Technical Person. You are required to source Australian Standards and Legislation.

You will be required to have a QTP available to finalise your practical component – If you do not have one available contact our training team. We may be able to assist you in the process (further costs may apply).

Outcomes
Upon successful completion, you will have the skills to:
Prepare, follow, apply and report safe work practices.
Prepare and conduct compliance inspections then act and report on inspection findings.
