TAE40116 Cert IV in TAE
This course is suitable for those who are seeking to enter the Vocational Education and Training industry.
This course is offered in a blended mode, being online self-paced and face-to-face. You will participate in pre, during and post course learning and assessment. Your enrolment period will be 24 months, although the duration of this course is dependent upon your commitment to the pre, during and post-course assessment and your prior experience. The following image details the course progression pathways.
It is a requirement of the TAE40116 assessment to deliver three training sessions. One session will be delivered during the face-to-face workshop. The remaining sessions are compiled into the major portfolio and presented after attending the workshop. The major portfolio consists of preparing and presenting two consecutive sessions of at least 40 minutes in duration, which are mapped nationally recognised units of competency and presented to eight participants.

Compile and produce appropriate documentation of work operations.
Completion of the mandatory Pre-Course Survey to demonstrate that you have skills and vocational experience in the field in which you wish to teach. For example, if you are going to use your TAE40116 to teach Electrical Apprentices/trades, you need to provide your qualification from that industry.
