Course Description

Volt Edge has now developed a National Recognised Inspectors course, which is a course designed to allow a Hazardous Area Electrician to:
Be authorised at a particular site as an Inspector.
Used as technical back up for the QLD Hazardous Areas Auditors application.
OR
Used at technical back up for the Victorian H class inspectors course and application.

Content Delivery

This is a 5 day course via our Live Web Training. The person, when deemed competent, should be able to inspect previous completed a detailed inspection of a hazardous area installation and then create an auditable document list of non compliances and which clause in the Australian Standards that is required. Available in Brisbane only.

Outcomes

After successful completion of this course, students will have the skills to:
Verify hazardous classification for the area.
Select and check equipment, wiring and accessories.
Design system and installation.
Audit hazardous areas documentation (verification dossier).
Prepare to audit as-built installation.
Establish and implement procedures for maintaining explosion-protection.

To confirm your enrolment into this course, you will need to meet the prerequisite requirements as detailed below.  Please submit your prerequisites to training@voltedge.com.au , prior to commencement of course.  If prerequisites are not provided prior to the commencement of the course, this may affect your eligibility to attend or complete the course.

You can provide this evidence by supplying us with a copy of your USI transcript. A copy of an EEHA , Cert IV in Hazardous Areas and Cert III in Electrotechnology may assist you in meeting these pre-requisites.
