Our Senior Supervisor course has been specifically designed for participants working in the Resource Industry who are required to implement the risk management systems within an established system for a mine site, including the application of local hazard identification, formal risk assessment and implementation of risk controls.
This Unit Covers The Application Of Risk Management Processes In Resources And Infrastructure Industries. It Includes Identifying Hazards; Assessing And Identifying Unacceptable Risk; Identifying And Recommending Treatments; Contributing To The Implementation Of Treatments; And Reviewing Safety System Documentation.
This Unit Covers Conducting Safety And Health Investigations In Resources And Infrastructure Industries. It Includes: Determining The Investigation Objectives; Gathering Information; Evaluating Information; Identifying Courses Of Action; And Preparing And Presenting Investigation Reports.
This Unit Covers The Communication Of Information In Resources And Infrastructure Industries. It Includes: Communicating Information Orally And In Writing; Achieving Meeting Outcomes; Making Presentations, And Participating In Negotiations.
This Unit Covers The Skills And Knowledge Required To Implement And Apply Risk Management Processes Within An Established System For A Mine Site/area, Including The Application Of Local Hazard Identification, Formal Risk Assessment And Implementation Of Risk Controls. It Includes The Monitoring Of The System, Reporting On Implementation Issues, Communication Of Processes And Systems, And The Review And Auditing Of The Risk Management Processes And Systems.
Both the theory and assessments are delivered online and self-paced, including a requirement of gathering a portfolio of evidence.
A scenario is to be finalised in the workplace and signed off by a qualified supervisor/mentor. If you do not have one you will be unable to enrol in our course.
