Course Description

As offered by Volt Edge, this unit covers finding and repairing faults in final control elements, including control valves, actuators and positioners.
It encompasses working safely, interpreting valve specifications, applying knowledge of final control elements operating parameters, conducting tests and repairs and completing the necessary service documentation.

Course Delivery

Both the theoretical and practical components of this course are delivered online in a self-paced environment.


Upon successful completion, students will have the skills to:
Prepare to find and repair faults in final control elements.
Find faults in final control elements and associated equipment.
Rectify faults in final control elements and associated equipment.
Completion and report fault finding and rectification activities.
