Hazardous Areas Inspectors Course

Course Description
Volt Edge has now developed a National Recognised Inspectors course, which is a course designed to allow a Hazardous Area Electrician to:
Be authorised at a particular site as an Inspector.
Used as technical back up for the QLD Hazardous Areas Auditors application or.
Used at technical back up for the Victorian H class inspectors course and application.

The course can be done by Engineers or Electricians with a background in Hazardous Areas to be able to inspect other tradesmen’s hazardous area work to Australian Standards.

Course Delivery
This is a 5 day face to face course with a mix of practical and theory. The person, when deemed competent, should be able to inspect previous completed a detailed inspection of a hazardous area installation and then create an auditable document list of non compliances and which clause in the Australian Standards that is required.

Training is completed face to face.

24hr access to Volt Edge support network.

Essential Knowledge
Knowledge of an Australia Standards is important although the student will receive particular information from the below standards.
AS/NZS 60079.14:2009 Explosive atmospheres – Electrical installations design, selection and erection (IEC 60079-14, Ed. 4.0(2007) MOD).
AS/NZS 3000:2007 Electrical installations (known as the Australian/New Zealand Wiring Rules).
