Course Description
UEE40411 Certificate IV in Electrical – Instrumentation is a qualification in its own right but is usually completed by Electricians to give them Instrumentation knowledge and experience.
The below units are offered assuming you are already an Electrician, where you would receive a credit transfer for any Electrical units required by this qualification.
(Currently we do not offer the Electrical units required by this qualification – Students are required to hold a UEE30811 Certificate III in Electrotechnology – Electrician qualification or equivalent or hold an Unrestricted Electrical Licence – Electrical Mechanic.)
Training is completed in person and on site.
24hr access to Volt Edge support network.

Course Delivery
This course consists of two stages;
The first stage is completed externally through an online learning system which is completely flexible and self-paced and equates to approximately 70 hrs of online learning.
NOTE: This will vary with experience and capabilities of different students.
The second stage of the assessment is a two week intensive practical assessment which can be done on a flexible training timetable where the practicals are completed as follows;
→ Week 1 Practicals.
→ Week 2 Practicals.
Our Training Team will let you know which days you will be required to attend depending on your Electives and other competencies already completed.
Watch the video below for a brief overview of how our online training works!
Pre-requisites
Students must hold a UEE30811 Certificate III in Electrotechnology – Electrician and/or an unrestricted electrical license or electrical mechanic license.
Please note: to simply have an electrical fitter license is not sufficient.

UEENEEI103A | Solve problems in density/level measurement components and systems. |
UEENEEI104A | Solve problems in flow measurement components and systems. |
UEENEEI105A | Solve problems in temperature measurement components and systems. |
And your choice of Stream electives from either Stream 1 or 2 below;
Elective Stream One (1)
Unit Code | Unit Name |

Our elective options gives our students more choice. You can select 4 units instead of an easy approach of 2 units of PLC’s. We recognise that students may require PLC training so it has been made an option as Elective Stream 2.
Instrumentation Training Courses have become increasingly popular and required by industry as electricians are looking to upskill for better job opportunities within the industry.
The UEE40411 Certificate IV in Electrical – Instrumentation Course is a qualification that contains a number of core units that are also delivered in the Certificate III in Electrotechnology (Electrician) qualification.
This course will add to the Electrical Trades Certificate to upgrade to a Certificate IV level qualification.
